1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Free Self-Guided Tours website (staugustinetour.com) and the Free Self-Guided Tours mobile app. By using the website or app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Free Self-Guided Tours provides self-guided walking tour content for St. Augustine, Florida, including routes, stop-by-stop stories, audio narration and GPS guidance.

2. The tours are free

All walking tours are free of charge. There are no tickets, no paywalls and no in-app purchases required to access any tour. The service is funded by local St. Augustine businesses that choose to be featured along the routes.

3. Use at your own risk

Self-guided walking tours take place in public spaces, on public streets and sidewalks. You are responsible for your own safety at all times: watch for traffic, cyclists, uneven surfaces, weather and your surroundings. Do not use your phone in a way that distracts you while crossing streets or walking.

Routes, directions and stop information are provided as a guide only. Conditions on the ground — closures, construction, weather, access restrictions — may differ from what the app shows. Always follow local signs, laws and instructions from authorities.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Free Self-Guided Tours is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the tours.

4. Featured local businesses

Some stops and recommendations along the routes are featured local businesses that support the tours financially. Featured placements are always identified as local recommendations. We do not guarantee the products, services, opening hours or availability of any featured business, and any purchase you make is strictly between you and that business.

5. Business partnerships

Local businesses may register interest in becoming a featured stop or side quest through the business signup page. Submitting the form registers your interest only — it does not create an account, start billing or guarantee placement. Partnership terms, including the current monthly rate and cancellation terms, are described on the business page and confirmed separately before any subscription begins.

6. Intellectual property

All tour content — routes, stories, audio, text, images and design — is owned by or licensed to Free Self-Guided Tours. You may use it for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment of the tours. You may not copy, republish, sell or redistribute the content without written permission.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the website or app: no attempting to disrupt the service, no scraping or bulk copying of content, no submitting false or misleading information through our forms, and no use that violates applicable law.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the website and app available and the content accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free content. We may update routes, stops, features and these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in St. Johns County, Florida.
